The project envisages dismantling the existing fire observation tower and building a publicly accessible observation tower. Improvement of the territory to reduce the anthropogenic load and the creation of a health route, as well as the restoration of roads, paths and parking lot surfaces in the nature reserve are also planned. The project also plans habitat protection and quality improvement measures – for the preservation of slopes and ravine forests and boreal forests.

Always dressed in a coat of blue haze, surrounded by tales and stories, Zilaiskalns rises in Kocēni parish. The tower designed at the top offers a view of the Augstroze hill. On a clear day, you can see Burtnieka and other surrounding lakes, see the cities of Vidzeme.
