SIA “Livland Group” is currently implementing the 2nd round improvement project of Kalpaka Square, which envisages the construction of a fountain, which will use only the accumulated rainwater in its operation. In addition, educational lectures were organized in Saldus secondary school and Saldus elementary school together with the municipality of Saldus, as part of the WaterMan project. The main topics of the lectures were about climate change, its impact and how we could reduce this impact by saving drinking water by using rainwater as much as possible.
The municipality of Saldus region introduced the students to an exciting pilot project, in which it is planned to build a fountain that will work using purified rainwater. This innovative project not only demonstrates a practical solution for saving water resources, but also serves as a shining example of how environmental protection initiatives can be integrated into urban infrastructure.
