and “Reconstruction and restoration of the building at Vecpilsētas Street 14”.

The project envisages reconstruction and restoration of buildings, new construction connecting

the buildings and improvement of the territory.

Both buildings are located in the territory of the historical center of the city of Jelgava

(National Defense No. 7433) and are a part of it.

The building at Vecpilsētas Street 14 is an architectural monument of national significance (protection No. 5185).

The building district was formed between the 18th and 19th centuries and is the oldest part of the

The aim of the project is to establish a Zemgale Restoration Center in both buildings, ensuring the availability of restoration

workshops for the restoration of cultural and historical and other important objects in the Zemgale region,

and providing an opportunity for anyone interested to get acquainted with the restoration process. The object at Vecpilsētas Street 14

has received the 1st place in the nomination "Restoration" in the show "The best building of the year in Latvia 2019"

and received the 1st place in the nomination "Restoration of the Year of Latvian Construction 2019" in the nomination "Restoration".
